Each year, we donate the simulators and exercises to the NAPTA Troubleshooting Skills Competition: the competition that pits top schools and colleges around the country against one another. This is a popular contest to determine an operator’s troubleshooting abilities through a friendly competition with bragging rights included as a bonus. In doing this yearly, we quickly came to realize that organizations can benefit from this competition as well. The Top Op Troubleshooting Challenge allows organizations to create customized learning experiences through a competition. Challenge your operators to see who is the best and determine where more troubleshooting training might be needed.
During the challenge, participants will use Simtronic’s SimCirrus OTS, a high fidelity simulator, to work through plant-specific problems of your choosing to see who can fix the issue. Select from existing exercises, or we can create custom exercises based on your specifications. As competitors use the process operator training simulator, the operators will encounter increasingly more difficult scenarios to determine who is the top troubleshooter! This also serves as a unique learning experience for your organization to work with those that struggle to improve their critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
