Systran worked with ALCOA to repurpose their existing video-based contractor and visitor safety orientation.

Systran converted the video and integrated it into a Computer-Based delivery system. The CBT was integrated with a simple database and ID card printing system.

Systran completed a 16-month training services project for a production- processing facility in Hassi Berkine, Algeria.

During the project, Systran developed and delivered training packages for new operations and maintenance employees. Systran also developed training for new equipment and technology installed as part of an expansion from one to four petroleum production-processing trains.

Systran successfully conducted 201 training classes for 750 new and existing operations and maintenance attendees. All curriculum and instruction was delivered in the French language.

Systran designed a multilevel training program for trainees who entered the program with limited technical capability and/or no relevant work experience.

Conducted general and technical english language, basic operations and crafts and technical training for trainees being trained for future positions as process operators and maintenance craftsmen.

To determine the potential for achievement of each trainee, the Systran staff conducted extensive aptitude and capability testing. Systran has successfully completed the second year of a three-year contract.

Systran conducted a 24-month project for Aramco Northern Area Production to develop equipment specific manuals and curriculum to train 120 nationals to become operator-trainers in producing fields and 55 gas-oil separation plants.

Systran conducted an analysis of engineering and vendor documentation to develop operating, training, and field manuals for various process units in the refinery.

Developed operating, training, and field manuals for the unloading of tanker vessels (VLCC), the shipment and storage of crude, and the loading of finished products onto various capacity tanker vessels at the marine terminal. Also developed the Custody Transfer Guidelines and Terminal Operating Procedures Manual

Conducted process operator field training throughout the refinery. Trained operators to perform effective rounds, identify potential upset conditions, equipment failures, and perform preventive maintenance. Operators were trained to communicate effectively with the board operator and their supervisors.

Developed a computerized one-thousand question test bank to construct tests to measure employee knowledge achievement and retention.

Systran conducted a task analysis of operations and maintenance tasks performed by personnel on the Tenneco gas pipeline system from the Gulf of Mexico to Albany, New York. The analysis was conducted at production, process, pipeline and metering facilities.

Systran used the results of the analysis to develop an inventory of training objectives, computer-based training modules and workbooks for the operation of the Solar Centaur, Saturn and Mars gas turbine compressor sets and General Electric Frame 3/5 generator sets.

Systran developed instrument technician training to troubleshoot, repair and calibrate Rosemount 3051C Smart Transmitters.

Systran conducted an analysis to determine operator tasks. Designed and developed CD ROM/E-learning instruction to train offshore production personnel to operate production and processing equipment. The modules addressed process, equipment and instrumentation subjects.

Developed and implemented CD ROM/E-learning instruction for basic process operations and basic gas turbine training. Developed and implemented Solar Centaur and Saturn gas turbine compressor sets, and General Electric Frame 5 gas turbine generator set training.

Systran conducted more than six hundred task analysis interviews with pipeline production, process operators, and mechanical, instrument, and electrical maintenance craftsmen at two gas plants and an NGL/LPG plant.

The data was entered and collated in a computerized database and become the specification for qualification testing, curriculum development and training within the organization. Developed qualification tests for production and gas plant process operators. Project lasted 18 months.

Systran conducted a task analysis to identify the critical and non-critical operations and maintenance tasks to define the required knowledge, skills and abilities for job certification.

Conducted more than 300 analysis interviews on the Algonquin, Columbia Gas, Duke Energy, Enron, and Texas Eastern gas pipeline systems.

This 29 month project was conducted for 160 Saudi Arabian trainees. This in-country program involved significant curriculum adaptation/development to support classroom instruction, OJT and a computer-based delivery system.

The project effort consisted of the following activities:

Systran conducted a manpower and facilities audit, and a task analysis at two Shell gas gathering and processing plants. The purpose was to define the tasks associated with each position and to determine the appropriate realignment of personnel and the tasks they performed.

Systran conducted an on site analysis of the documentation and equipment of the Zhong Yuan oil field’s production wells, pipeline system, storage tanks, and processing of oil and gas.

Systran developed 800 hours of intermediate level curriculum and conducted instruction to qualify national trainers in the People’s Republic of China.
